About The Position
Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is seeking a Junior Site Superintendent to lead the construction of their multi-family construction site. This role involves supporting the Site Superintendent in daily site operations, ensuring projects adhere to plans, specifications, safety regulations, and timelines. It's an ideal opportunity for someone with a construction background looking to advance into a leadership position within a dynamic team, with potential for growth into a full Site Superintendent role on future projects.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of construction experience in 4-storey wood frame, multi-family construction
- Excellent organization and management skills to achieve time efficiency and work deadlines
- Demonstrated ability in leadership, decision making and taking ownership
- Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of all building techniques, building codes, and safety regulations associated with the construction of multi-story apartment buildings
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural schematics
- Willingness to travel across Site locations
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing site operations to ensure construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards
- Support coordination of trades and subcontractors on-site
- Help monitor construction progress and address any issues or delays
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling
- Ensure work is being completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards
