About The Position

This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award. Prevailance is seeking a Junior SERE / ECAC Instructor to deliver advanced Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) and Evasion & Conduct After Capture (ECAC) instruction in support of high-risk training programs at JBSA-Lackland. This role is ideal for qualified SERE professionals with foundational instructional experience who are continuing to develop advanced teaching, evaluation, and facilitation skills while working under senior instructors in demanding training environments. Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of USAF SV81A or an approved DoD SERE Level C (High Risk) Course
  • Level C certificate required
  • 2+ years experience instructing at an SV88AL SERE course or related SERE training experience
  • 4+ years of military service (any branch); minimum rank E-5
  • Honorable discharge (DD-214 required)
  • Ability to meet demanding physical requirements (rucking, prolonged standing, extended instruction hours)
  • Ability to pass SERE psychological screening and High-Risk training evaluations
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Possesses and maintain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid / CPR or Wilderness First Responder certification
  • Familiarity with USAF SERE program structure and hierarchy

Responsibilities

  • Deliver field and technical SERE instruction under the supervision of senior instructors
  • Assist with training in survival skills, navigation, signaling, evasion, and personnel recovery techniques
  • Instruct students on the use of maps, compasses, GPS, and communication/signaling devices
  • Participate in resistance training activities, including classroom instruction, role-play scenarios, and debriefs
  • Support execution of resistance scenarios such as student processing, searches, and tactical interrogations
  • Evaluate and document student performance during field and resistance training events
  • Conduct instruction in austere, mountainous, and physically demanding environments
  • Support validation and upkeep of training materials, syllabi, and instructor guides
