About The Position

Cadence McShane is looking for a Junior Scheduler! As Junior Scheduler, you will play a meaningful role in supporting the success of our award-winning construction projects. You'll assist in developing and maintaining detailed schedules using P6 software, collaborate with project managers and superintendents, and work alongside an experienced scheduler. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to learn complex timeline management, support critical path analyses, and contribute to schedule reporting, all while building your skills in communication and coordination across multiple project teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2-7 years of experience in construction scheduling (internship or co-op experience welcome)
  • Basic construction knowledge and familiarity with construction processes and terminology
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices
  • Exposure to P6 or other scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative scheduling team

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing detailed project schedules using P6 software.
  • Coordinate with project managers, preconstruction, marketing, and other team members to gather information and help align schedules with project goals.
  • Support the project controls team in integrating scheduling activities across projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Superintendents on timelines and milestones.
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings with project teams and the Project Superintendent.
  • Assist in preparing schedule reports for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Help monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and support corrective action recommendations.
  • Regularly review and update schedules for accuracy under the guidance of senior schedulers.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination of scheduling activities across projects.
  • Support the development of project plans and risk management strategies.
