About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Junior RF Engineering Technician to support our Dahlgren, Virginia team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Effects Division.

Requirements

One (1) year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF systems.
Knowledge of using one or more of the following: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs).
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.
Candidate must maintain a valid REAL ID driver’s license, required for access to the customer site, and have access to reliable transportation, as this position may require travel between local work sites.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain equipment necessary to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing.
Support verification testing of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems.
Conduct testing to determine whether systems under evaluation meet E3 design specifications.
Assess the ability of systems to function in their intended operational electromagnetic environment from both a safety and reliability standpoint.
Interface and communicate directly with customers.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to support a wide variety of test events.
Travel as required to support testing activities, up to 10% of the time.
