About The Position

Texas Medical Refrigeration is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, maintain and repair biomedical systems and equipment. with an emphasis on durable, deployable and capital medical equipment, i.e., laboratory, clinical, dental, therapeutic, pneumatic, hydraulic, general, surgical, diagnostic and equipment at the hardware, component, sub-assembly, module or circuit board level. Job entails maintaining, repairing and installing equipment of the following types: mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, controlling, monitoring and recording.

Requirements

Working knowledge of electrical systems.
Proficiency in various digital systems (CMMS, word processing, equipment service software, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Must be self-directed with sound judgment and able to solve problems with minimal guidance, oversight or direct management.

Responsibilities

Assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, align, and calibrate medical & laboratory equipment.
Work with various electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, steam, water and air systems.
Read circuit diagrams and wiring schematics, working knowledge of electrical systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance according to contractual requirements
Manage repair parts, maintain inventories, order replacement parts and equipment.
Render technical advice and assistance as required.
Provide customers and end users with product and technical support.
Provide technical service/mechanical troubleshooting of equipment.
Accurately document work conducted, and log times and materials for services on digital CMMS.
Work and communicate with technical experts, healthcare professionals/managers, and OEM representatives.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and needs, both on-the-job and remotely.
Communicate with customers to help them understand how to use, maintain and troubleshoot their products and devices.
Complete, maintain, update, and process pertinent digital systems, paperwork and records.
Solve problems, document procedures and formulate repair plans and maintenance strategies.
Operate, control and maintain various biomedical test and calibration equipment.
