The Bureau of Immunization (BOI) is recruiting for a Junior Public Health Nurse (JPHN). The JPHN will administer immunizations to individuals ages 4 years and older at the clinic as well as at community events as needed, following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice recommendations. The incumbent will report to the Director of Clinical Services and will also participate in quality improvement activities in accordance with Article 28 regulations. The mission of the Bureau of Immunization (BOI) is to prevent the occurrence and transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) through immunization. The BOI Clinic is an Article 28 facility that provides immunizations required for school attendance and recommended vaccines for adults, such as hepatitis B, influenza, measles, mumps and rubella, tetanus and pneumococcal vaccines.
