About The Position

Junior Project Manager, Residential Custom F. Schumacher & Co. , America’s leading name in fabric, wallcovering, floorcovering, and furnishings, is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join the Residential Custom team under the Schumacher North America brand. The Residential Custom team delivers one-of-a-kind projects to clients who expect nothing less than perfection. This role sits at the intersection of sales support and direct client service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both the precision of project management and delivering an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will serve as part of the operational backbone, supporting orders end-to-end from quoting through delivery. You’ll act as a key connector between the sales team, production partners, and clients, ensuring every order is delivered on time and exceeds expectations. This role will split time between our Midtown NYC office and our production facilities in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and/or Passaic, NJ. What You’ll Do Order & Project Management Own the full order lifecycle for residential custom wallcovering projects, from pre-sale quoting and SKU creation through production, invoicing, and post-sale follow-up Manage change orders, rush requests, and client revisions with accuracy and a solutions-oriented mindset Monitor order progress across concurrent projects and proactively address issues to keep everything on track Track sample and strike-off approvals, coordinating client sign-off before production release Serve as the dedicated Project Manager for all custom pillow orders, overseeing the program end-to-end Develop detailed order plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and risk considerations Client & Sales Collaboration Partner closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff and provide regular status updates Translate client and sales needs into actionable plans for production partners Proactively communicate order status to clients and respond to questions with speed and accuracy Follow up on outstanding quotes and open projects to keep the pipeline moving Vendor & Cross-Functional Partnership Build and maintain strong relationships with production partners and manage delivery expectations Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Shipping, Sales Support) to troubleshoot issues and drive solutions Review completed orders to identify process improvements and optimization opportunities Who You Are You are an intellectually curious, highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in project management, customer service, or a related operations role
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and able to identify potential issues early
  • Solutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable adapting in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Bachelor’s degree
