About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a full-time Junior Production Artist. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform the duties involved in screen printing. These duties include preparing screen printing stencils, creating mock-ups, drafts, and vector files of bitmap images in Adobe Illustrator for prep and set-up.

Requirements

• Associates degree from an accredited institute within the arts, digital, graphic, fashion or technology field.
• Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Adobe Certified Expert in Adobe Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC preferred.
• Knowledge of Color Management/Color Matching/Color Separation/Color Profiling/Color Theory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Color separation of existing art files and file preparation for screen printing
• Produce designs that fully utilize particular garment styles
• Layout art for different types of print jobs, large format, screen print, embroidery, heat transfer and other decoration types
• Manage design, print and art files
• Create vector files of bitmap images in Adobe Illustrator to set up for print operations
• Assist in small design projects
• Perform other related duties as required.
