As a Junior Product Designer, you'll support the design and product development process from concept to final product. You'll create 3D models, photorealistic renderings, and technical drawings for our overseas vendor partners. A bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and KeyShot skills, and a portfolio showcasing your modeling and documentation are required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Product Design, Furniture Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 0–3 years of professional or internship experience in product, furniture, lighting, or consumer goods design.
  • Strong AutoCAD and SolidWorks skills, including parts, assemblies, surfacing, configurations, and technical drawings.
  • Strong KeyShot rendering skills and working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of proportion, scale, form, materials, and luxury product detailing.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, model-making, 3D printing, or shop work.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A portfolio is required for consideration and should showcase CAD modeling, rendering, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and product development process from concept to final product.
  • Create 3D models, photorealistic renderings, and technical drawings for overseas vendor partners.
  • Complete onboarding on AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and KeyShot standards and demonstrate proper CAD library file structure and naming conventions.
  • Review material and finish libraries with the Senior Designer and tour the warehouse and mock showroom.
  • Shadow at least 2 sample reviews and 1 concept or line review, then share key takeaways with the Senior Designer.
  • Complete 3 supervised modeling or rendering assignments.
  • Build 3D models from sketches or art direction.
  • Deliver KeyShot renderings for internal line review or merchandising presentation.
  • Complete 2 technical drawing packages for senior review and vendor release.
  • Participate in product meetings and/or sample reviews and document any discrepancies.
  • Carry products independently through modeling, rendering, technical drawings, and sample review with final senior sign-off.
  • Prepare product development files, including line drawings, 2D drawings, and 3D CAD files, for product launch.
  • Complete a 90-day review with the Senior Designer to review accomplishments and establish goals for the next development season.
