About The Position

Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high volume vehicle manufacturers. Multimatic Inmet is seeking a highly motivated, and detailed oriented Junior Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow in industrial maintenance, with exposure to hands-on repairs, vendor coordination, and project assistance.

Requirements

• DIYer – mechanical/electrical repairs
• Experience with hand tools
• Worked in a related field
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Basic excel and word software skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong problem solving techniques
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be able to work day shift (8:00AM – 4:10PM)

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 year Millwright pre-apprenticeship would be an asset
• Forklift license would be an asset
• Potential for future Apprenticeship opportunities

Responsibilities

• Electrode inspection and installation
• Building systems preventative maintenance
• Motoman, Fanuc and Fronius welder – clean, change filters and coolant
• Responsible for daily preventative maintenance activities
• Lubricate various pieces of equipment
• Washline maintenance
• Work with Contractors
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
• Overtime as required
• Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
• Will work in a safe manner at all times and in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA
