About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Junior Power Platform Developer to join their Geospatial and Technology Services team. This role will focus on creating geospatial and analytical solutions for clients, involving data management, governance, analysis, transformation, automation, and visualization. Dewberry is a large professional services firm known for its commitment to its people and innovative projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, GIS or other relevant geospatial or data science related field
• 0-3 years of professional experience
• Desire to grow as a developer using Microsoft Power Platform products
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, design development, and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills and operate effectively in team settings using an agile software development approach
• Be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Nice To Haves

• An understanding of GIS is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior developers to create internal and client-facing solutions within Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Pages and Power Apps
• Perform needs assessments to identify application and visualization requirements
• Design data storage solutions in SharePoint lists, Microsoft Dataverse, and SQL
• Develop user acceptance testing and documentation
• Maintain and support applications according to changing business/mission requirements
• Work on consulting projects for government and commercial clients
• Participate in testing, supporting and deploying tools and preparing technical documentation
