About The Position

CIMCO is seeking a Junior Package Estimator to build estimates for packages and support the package estimating team for packages built out of our Burlington Manufacturing Shop. This role will work internally with our sales teams to provide pricing for CIMCO manufactured products.

Requirements

Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering would be considered an asset.
Competent and experienced in refrigeration package construction and fabrication.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work on multiple tasks/requests at once.
Experience in Industrial Refrigeration is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of CSAB51 and CSAB52 codes would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Review pricing requests from the CIMCO sales team. Work with engineering to provide basis of design.
Develop pricing tools to assist with efficient manufacturing estimating and quoting.
Update pricing for standard manufacturing products.
Decipher preliminary P&ID and layout drawings from engineering to determine required equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Source pricing and availability for equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Build labour estimates to assemble packages and standard products in the CIMCO Burlington shop; review with manufacturing manager to confirm labour allotment.
Complete estimates encompassing all equipment, materials, labour and subcontractors, including review with sales team and bid review.
