About The Position
The assistant director provides positive leadership to students and staff to support successful musical performances at New Albany Middle School. The role assists the Junior Musical Lead Director with script selection and auditions, helps construct sets, and supports practices and performances. The assistant director evaluates student performance using established criteria and performs other duties as assigned by the Junior Musical Lead Director or Principal. The successful candidate communicates with students, staff, and parents; demonstrates management, organizational, and time-management skills; builds relationships with students to improve musical performance and behavior; makes decisions; and is firm, fair, and consistent.

- Successful dramatic direction experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Junior Musical Lead Director in selecting scripts.
