About The Position

E-Space is seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer to join their Manufacturing team. This role involves designing production hardware for future satellites, working with SolidWorks under senior designers. The designer will support mechanical and end-effector (EOAT) design efforts, create parts and assemblies, produce drawings, and assist in bringing designs from prototype to production. This is a hands-on position for an early-career engineer looking to learn and grow in a high-rate aerospace manufacturing environment. The position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team.

Requirements

Create and modify parts, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks under the direction of senior designers.
Support end-effector (EOAT) and mechanical systems projects through prototyping and build.
Produce build documentation and assembly drawings.
Help fabricate, assemble, and test prototypes - from 3D-printed to machined hardware.
Maintain CAD files, revisions, and the parts library to team standards.
Learn and apply GD&T, tolerancing, and design-for-manufacture.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to automation tooling or EOAT.
Hands-on prototyping, machine-shop, or 3D-printing experience.
Coursework or projects in robotics or aerospace.
