About The Position

Allegria Village is a senior living community located in Dearborn, offering apartment-style Independent Living. We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Full-Time Junior Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude toward safety and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience required
HVAC experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Understanding of OSHA regulations and fire safety compliance
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Strong teamwork and customer service mindset
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

HVAC experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner
Perform general maintenance tasks including: Repairing wall and floor coverings, Fixing furniture and fixtures, Performing basic plumbing and electrical repairs, Assisting with painting, refurbishing, and appliance repair
Minor HVAC troubleshooting and support
Building and equipment repairs
Maintain tools, supplies, and parts inventory
Support HVAC, domestic water systems, pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, and emergency generators as needed
Assist with routine preventive maintenance as scheduled
Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety policies, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, MSDS, and fire safety procedures
Practice positive resident interactions and protect resident confidentiality at all times
Attend team meetings and participate in continuous improvement efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
