About The Position

Atos' North America Legal organization is experiencing increasing demand for legal support across Canadian customer engagements. The role will provide dedicated support for Canadian customer engagements, including French-language contracts and negotiations, enabling faster response times and more effective support for regional business activities. By developing in-house legal expertise and providing localized legal support, the Junior Lawyer will help improve operational efficiency, strengthen legal and contractual governance, reduce reliance on external counsel, and support the continued growth of the Canadian business. This position is based in Montreal, Quebec, and requires regular in-office presence to foster collaboration with business stakeholders and support regional operations. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Montreal office a minimum of two to three days per week. Fluency in both English and French is required to effectively support Canadian customer engagements and internal stakeholders. Quebecois French knowledge is preferred.

The Junior Lawyer is responsible for providing legal support across a broad range of commercial, contractual, compliance, and corporate matters. The role partners closely with Legal, Contract Management, Sales, Delivery, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, and other business stakeholders to support commercial transactions while protecting the company's legal and business interests. The position will support the review, drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and administration of commercial agreements, and other legal and business documents. The Junior Lawyer will assist in identifying and mitigating legal, regulatory, commercial, and compliance risks while ensuring alignment with company policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and French is required.
• Quebecois French knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Providing legal support for customer, supplier, partner, and subcontractor transactions.
• Advising business stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, risk allocation, and compliance requirements.
• Conducting legal research and analysis on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Assisting with legal governance, policy implementation, compliance initiatives, and audit activities.
• Supporting collaboration with Contract Management teams.
• Maintaining legal documentation, templates, and knowledge repositories.
• Identifying legal and commercial risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
