About The Position
The Junior Laboratory Estimator supports the estimating team by assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for lab furniture and facility projects. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow in technical estimating within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in estimating or construction (internships welcome)
- Ability to read basic blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and math skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Eagerness to learn lab-specific standards (GMP, BSL, etc.)
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or AutoCAD is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing drawings and specifications
- Perform basic quantity takeoffs and data entry
- Help prepare pricing sheets and scope summaries
- Communicate with vendors for quotes and lead times
- Support proposal development and bid submissions
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
