The Kindergarten Assistant assists in maintaining appropriate classroom activities under the supervision of the classroom instructor. This role involves working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, operating classroom equipment, distributing materials, guiding independent study, and assisting with student supervision during various activities. The assistant also helps with classroom displays, reads to students, assists in the library, corrects papers, and communicates student progress and concerns to the teacher. Maintaining ethical behavior and confidentiality is crucial. Participation in in-service training and other assigned duties are also part of the role.
