About The Position
RQ Construction is looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join their growing Design team in Carlsbad, CA. This role involves developing creative, functional design solutions and supporting commercial and Department of Defense projects from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate is passionate about commercial interiors, enjoys collaboration, and is eager to grow their skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (CIDA-accredited program preferred)
- 1–2 years of commercial interior design experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Specific software literacy (Revit/Autodesk v2022 or higher, ACAD v2022 or higher; Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Navisworks) required
- Rendering software experience on programs such as TwinMotion, Lumion or Equal required
- Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire
- Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check
- Successfully pass a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for)
Nice To Haves
- Government or military project experience is a plus
- NCIDQ certification is a plus
