About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Junior Interior Designer / Architectural Designer to support our design review and proposal development for H Mart commercial and retail projects. This role involves preparing and revising interior design packages, construction drawings, and detail drawings. The ideal candidate will assist with material selection, furniture layouts, lighting selection, and FF&E documentation, while coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and general contractors. You will also be responsible for maintaining our internal library of materials, finishes, and vendor catalogs, generating high-quality 3D renderings, monitoring project progress during construction, and organizing project schedules, deliverables, and budgets. Participation in project meetings, site visits, and design reviews is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • 1 -3 years of related experience in interior design, architecture, retail design, or commercial design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software with basic drafting skills
  • Basic understanding of interior construction drawings, including finish plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and finish schedules
  • Interior design or architectural portfolio required
  • Ability to travel within the United States as needed

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support design review and proposal development for H Mart commercial and retail projects

  • Organize and track project schedules, deliverables, and FF&E budgets to ensure timely completion
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and design reviews
