We are seeking a Junior Intelligence Analyst to serve in a 24/7/365 dedicated role with a specific client in the cryptocurrency space. In this role, the intelligence analyst will provide incident monitoring, real-time social-media threat monitoring and analysis, and crisis communication support to ensure the safety and security of our client’s personnel, assets, and operations. The intelligence analyst will be embedded within the client organization, working closely with their corporate security team to deliver actionable intelligence and facilitate rapid response to emerging threats. This is an in-person role based at Global Guardian headquarters in McLean, VA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, security operations, or emergency management.
- Demonstrated experience in incident response, crisis communication, and threat analysis.
- Proficiency with intelligence platforms, mass communication systems, and real-time tracking tools such as LifeRaft Navigator, AlertMedia, Ontic, Dataminr, Factal, Riskline, or others.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners (security providers, law enforcement, emergency services).
Responsibilities
- Provide centralized monitoring of critical events (natural disasters, civil unrest, cyber threats), ensuring rapid outreach to impacted personnel and stakeholders.
- Utilize mass communication systems to deliver urgent messages to the Crisis Management Team and operational leaders, adhering to established protocols.
- Conduct predictive and real-time analytical assessments to identify and manage security, safety, and product-related risks; issue real-time threat alerts to support informed decision-making and incident reduction.
- Monitor and track mission-critical operations and employee locations in real time, ensuring team safety and swift adaptation to evolving threats or logistical changes.
- Continuously monitor public/private sector news feeds, intelligence subscriptions, and alerts; share relevant information with the security team to enhance situational awareness.
- Monitor and assess global security trends to enable proactive threat response and risk mitigation.
- Evaluate flight patterns, hotel locations, high-risk destinations, and transportation options to provide travelers with safer choices and risk-reduction strategies.
- Continuously enhance system analytics to improve response times and boost operational efficiency through data-driven insights.
- Prepare and support crisis response and evacuation drills by the client.
- Advise on crisis response and evacuation plans, ensuring readiness for activation during large-scale incidents.
- Monitor industry developments and recommend upgrades to surveillance, communication, and incident response systems.
- Design and evaluate crisis communication protocols for clear and timely messaging during incidents.
- Foster relationships with third-party security providers, law enforcement, and emergency services to enable coordinated crisis response.
- Develop and conduct scenario-based drills (e.g., active shooter, lockdowns, evacuations) and regular training sessions for GSOC operators and stakeholders.
