About The Position

Eldora Mountain Resort is seeking friendly, welcoming, and inclusive Ski & Ride School Junior Instructors to provide unparalleled customer service experiences for their youngest guests. These individuals will support instructors indoors and outdoors with children's programs and daily youth lesson guests. Junior Instructors will work throughout the season to ensure the best possible experience for Eldora guests by assisting with equipment preparation, supervising lunch, escorting children to their classes, riding chairlifts with students, and assisting children with other needs. This role involves working both individually and as part of the Eldora team in a support capacity. Eldora is looking for individuals who embody their passion for the outdoors and community, and who want to foster an environment where Eldora is ‘the Place to Learn!!’

Requirements

• High school students ages 15-17.
• Must love working with kids ages 4-6 and can communicate effectively with children to build trust and have fun.
• Must be able to share your love working with children in a safe and effective manner.
• Have a desire to learn and develop personal skills by attending free, ongoing ski & snowboard training.
• Live the Eldora culture of being welcoming and inclusive while abiding by our policies.
• Must have empathy and patience.
• Ability to ski and ride well.
• Must be an excellent communicator and work well with others in and outside of the SRS department.
• Must be able to obtain Junior Instructor certification from PSIA-AASI by Jan 1, 2027.
• Ability to pass a background check by company standards.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children or customer service preferred.
• Previous experience working with children (4-14yr olds) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to instructors indoors and outdoors with children's programs and daily youth lesson guests.
• Assist with equipment preparation.
• Supervise lunch for children.
• Escort children to their classes.
• Ride chairlifts with students.
• Assist children with other needs.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Children’s Center.
• Work with the SRS team in teaching and non-teaching duties.
• Access daily schedules and company notices electronically.
• Support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in the Sustainable Transportation Program.
