About The Position

New Lothrop Area Public Schools is seeking a coach for the 7th-grade junior high boys basketball team for the 2026–2027 season. The coach will teach and mentor student-athletes ages 12–14, organize and lead structured, age-appropriate practices, promote sportsmanship, manage team logistics, and supervise students during practices, games, and travel. Pay is per Schedule C. Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to Kelly Green by email or mail. The deadline is October 29, 2026, or until filled.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively teach, motivate, and mentor early adolescents ages 12–14.
• Willingness to organize, schedule, and run structured, age-appropriate practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with the Athletic Director, student-athletes, parents, and other coaches.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them before the first contest.
• Pass a State of Michigan background check and fingerprint clearance.
