About The Position

The Junior Graphic Designer at Luci supports the Design Team by creating clear, compelling, and highly crafted design assets across platforms. This role is hands-on and production-forward, with a strong focus on presentation design (InDesign decks, animated PowerPoint and Keynote) and social media assets (LinkedIn and Instagram), plus support for print and digital graphics. The ideal candidate brings a strong eye for typography, composition, and layout, and works with care, speed, and accuracy. This role is a great fit for a designer who wants to build real depth in presentation craft and multi-format design systems while learning the fundamentals of experience design and environmental graphics. You'll help shape the work clients see most often—decks, submissions, and polished visuals that carry our ideas into the world—and grow your skills in visual hierarchy, storytelling, brand consistency, and production detail alongside experienced designers and project teams.

Requirements

2–3 years of professional design experience (agency, studio, in-house, or freelance).
Portfolio (required) showing strong presentation design, plus social and print examples.
Exceptional command of typography (spacing, hierarchy, readability, craft).
Strong sense of composition and visual rhythm across multi-page layouts.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Strong PowerPoint skills, including animation; Keynote a plus.
Comfort working across formats and specs, from social sizes to large-format print.
Comfort working with team members across leadership levels for reviews, feedback, and oversight.
High attention to detail, strong organization, and pride in getting the "last 10%" right.

Nice To Haves

Interest in experience design and environmental graphics (signage, wayfinding, large-format storytelling).
Basic motion tools (After Effects) or strong animation instincts in PowerPoint.
Familiarity with Miro or other collaborative tools.
Experience with brand systems and template-based design.
Website maintenance and/or Webflow/CSS experience.

Responsibilities

Design and format decks in InDesign, PowerPoint, and Keynote with strong hierarchy, pacing, and consistency.
Apply Luci's branding and style guidelines across applications.
Build and maintain slide systems and templates that support team-wide efficiency and quality.
Create PowerPoint animations that clarify ideas and add energy without distraction.
Translate complex information into clean, scannable visuals (charts, timelines, diagrams, tables).
Prepare reliable, polished exports for client review and delivery (PPTX, PDF).
Create and maintain all social templates following Luci's brand and style guides.
Retouch, edit, and crop professional digital images in Photoshop or similar to enhance color, composition, and visual quality.
Design social content across formats (feed, stories, reels, cover frames, carousels, event graphics).
Produce fast, accurate variations and cutdowns while upholding brand integrity.
Support the team with print-ready layouts (one-pagers, posters, leave-behinds, signage-style pieces).
Prep files for print production (bleeds, trims, packaging, retouching, and resolution checks).
Proofread for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency while designing.
Catch issues in names, dates, captions, labels, and footnotes before final delivery.
Run final checks for alignment, spacing, export settings, and brand accuracy across internal documents and client-facing submissions.
Work closely with the Design Team, Partnerships and Strategy Development Team, and Project Leadership to meet scope, timing, and quality expectations.
Take and apply feedback quickly, keeping momentum during revisions.
Maintain strong file hygiene: naming, versioning, styles, links, and clean handoffs.
