Junior Graphic Designer
About The Position
Bakery is looking for a Junior Designer who wants to Make Things People Want. We've worked with ambitious brands like Nike, Diageo, Liquid Death, Shiner Beer building brand identities, campaigns, and packaging that make people pay attention. But more than what we make, it's why we make it. We believe the best work comes from people who haven't been smoothed out yet — designers with a point of view, a chip on their shoulder, and the hunger to prove their vision. We're here to build brand worlds that are genuinely distinctive, not safe. We're excited to talk to Designers in their first or second job who have raw, clear talent and just need the right space to develop in. In this role, you'll work closely with Senior Designers and Art Directors, getting hands-on with ambitious, high-visibility work for some of the best brands on Earth. You'll take feedback fast, turn it around faster, and get a front-row seat to how an idea moves from a scrawled sketch to finished work for brands people actually know. Must be employable in the USA and work on-site in Austin, TX
Requirements
- A portfolio that shows off your raw talent, unique style, and love for design.
- 0-2 years of experience
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, and composition
- Comfortable with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Good knowledge of AI tools to speed up your process, but your portfolio should show what you can make with your own mind and hands — not a book of AI comps.
- The kind of hunger that shows up as extra work nobody assigned you
- Real coachability — you can take a note and visibly get better by the next round
Responsibilities
- Working alongside Senior Designers and Art Directors on real client work from day one
- Producing layouts, visual explorations, and design assets across print, digital, and packaging
- Taking feedback and turning it around quickly — the learning curve here is steep on purpose
- Getting a front-row seat to how ideas go from a scrawled sketch to finished work for brands people actually know
