About The Position

Natco is seeking a self-motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services Team. This position is based out of our West Warwick, RI corporate headquarters. The Junior Graphic Designer executes daily production work, including updating copy, manipulating images, and preparing packaging layouts under the guidance of the Graphics and Visual Manager. This role supports creative packaging development, collaborates cross-functionally with Sales and Product Development teams on branding initiatives, and assists with product styling and market trend research. The Junior Graphic Designer contributes to the execution of the design development process, ensuring projects meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. This position also supports team projects while developing skills through mentorship and professional growth opportunities and is ideal for a creative individual looking to grow within a collaborative design environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related discipline
  • Awareness of current design and market trends
  • High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; InDesign experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of AI tools in graphic design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Comfortable working in both PC and Mac environments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Creative with solid digital design skills, including a strong eye for color, composition, pattern, and scale
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage workload efficiently
  • Adaptable, reliable, and self-motivated to work independently when needed
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, and flexibility along with a desire to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily design production tasks, including updating copy, manipulating imagery, and preparing packaging layouts in collaboration with the Packaging team
  • Prepare and finalize design files to ensure they are production-ready and meet quality and brand standards
  • Develop creative packaging concepts and produce mock-ups that enhance product presentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Product Development teams to support branding initiatives within the home furnishings industry
  • Work closely with the in-house photographer to assist with product image styling and visual execution
  • Conduct market research by visiting retail stores and attending design shows to stay current on industry trends
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and incorporate feedback into design revisions
  • Participate in mentorship opportunities, applying guidance from senior team members to grow design skills and professional development
  • Assist with additional team projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Graphics and Visual Manager
