About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, and preferably experience deploying and managing services in AWS. They need a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. As a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and user experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Proven experience as a full stack software engineer using a backend web framework, preferably Laravel.
Proficiency with a front-end web framework, preferably React.js.
Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and API design.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience as an architect and implementing robust server-side logic using the PHP backend framework, Laravel.
Only considering candidates who live in CA, AZ, or NC.

Nice To Haves

Experience deploying and managing services in AWS.
Experience with Flutter for hybrid mobile development is desirable.
Prefer local candidates (commuting distance to Atascadero, CA) to work in-person but remote is an option.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions across the entire technology stack.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, enhancements, and improvements.
Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using TypeScript React as a frontend framework.
Optimize front-end application performance and ensure a seamless user experience.
Architect and implement robust server-side logic using the PHP backend framework, Laravel.
Develop and maintain databases, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
Design and optimize database schemas, ensuring data integrity and efficient query performance.
Implement data storage solutions and integration with third-party APIs.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure software reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing technical challenges.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
