About The Position

The Junior Field Services Agent is an integral part of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission team. They are responsible for delivery of client services on behalf of the Commission providing technical field expertise to inform Commission operations.

Requirements

  • Professional agrologist or eligible for membership.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Driver's license.
  • Own vehicle.
  • Knowledge of management practices involved in the growing of crops.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate confident client interactions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in collaboration with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and inspecting crop fields to evaluate causes of damage and ensure best management practices are being used.
  • Conducting yield verifications and assessments.
  • Adjusting crop insurance claims.
