About The Position

This role involves participating in the definition of business processes for clinical and financial operations, and the design of automated solutions within the framework of all specified architecture. The position requires analyzing, diagnosing, tracking, and resolving technical and operational issues with application processing, consulting with IT product teams and other resources, and working independently. The Junior Expert will collaborate with other IT staff to ensure a stable infrastructure and that integrations and end-user interfaces are processing on schedule. They will also provide analytical support for system projects related to Enterprise reporting and Business Intelligence, identify development tools or reporting databases to improve clinical efficacy, operational efficiency, and quality of service, and prepare detailed specifications for programming code development, building, and testing. Participation in pilot preparation, user acceptance testing coordination, and new module rollout coordination is also expected. The role may involve referring to senior-level staff for assistance with complex problems and escalating issues to supervisors as necessary. Compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and applicable company policies, laws, and regulations is required. Additional responsibilities may include focus on specific departments or locations, with applicable addendums for department or location-specific functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
  • 0 - 2 years' related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management and process analysis skills are essential.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend complex technical documents.
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills required.

  • Daily VBD assessment, reporting and resolution
  • Triage, prioritize & resolve incoming eCube Financials Merge/VBD tickets
  • Produce quarterly VBD metrics
  • Work with application experts to identify areas for VBD prevention as well as efficiencies in VBD/Merge resolution
  • Contribute towards detailed Business Requirement documents for VBD's/merge projects
  • Assist manager in representing IT for Corporate-level Patient Identity task force, assist in gathering VBD-related data related to legal matters
  • General understanding of SDLC methodologies.
  • General understanding of software development methodologies, such as maintainability, naming convention consistency, and scalability so as to enforce best practices.
  • Ability to understand business rules and requirements surrounding a software project and document those requirements in a consistent fashion.
  • General understanding of network, server, OS technologies in order to communicate with IT infrastructure personnel.
  • General understanding of all facets of designated systems including, data interfaces, user interfaces, reporting, modeling, and all other customization points within these systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge of healthcare delivery and nephrology operations are a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of dialysis clinic operations and dialysis billing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, diagnose, track and resolve various technical and operational issues with application processing.
  • Consult with IT product team and other pertinent resources as well as working independently to resolve issues.
  • Work closely with other IT staff to ensure a stable infrastructure and that integration (interfaces) and end user interfaces are processing according to schedule.
  • Take necessary actions including making recommendations regarding system and process changes to provide an efficient environment for the end user community.
  • Provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of mid-level system projects pertaining to Enterprise reporting and Business Intelligence.
  • Identify development tools or reporting databases that can be used to improve clinical efficacy, operational efficiency and quality of service.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for programming code development, building and testing.
  • Participate in pilot preparation, coordination of user acceptance testing, and coordination of new module rollouts for systems projects.
  • May refer to senior level staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise.
  • Escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
