A Day in the Life As an Junior Engineer/Scientist, in Grande Prairie you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. Requirements

  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Environmental, Engineering, Chemistry, or other related science
  • 1 – 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within reporting structure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license (or class G or equivalent) with no restrictions

Nice To Haves

  • Site safety certifications
  • Familiarity with off road vehicles, ½ or ¾ ton trucks would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase II environmental site assessments, remediation and groundwater monitoring programs
  • Support soil and vegetation assessments
  • Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities
  • Travel as required to support field programs
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Assist with other service line projects when needed
