About The Position

Our team is hiring a Junior Environmental Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct Phase I/II ESAs and Remediations, both to CSA and O. Reg. 153/04 Standards; conduct sampling and reporting associated with Excess Soils project (O.Reg. 406/19); conduct fieldwork and reporting associated with Hydrogeological Assessments, including but not limited to infiltration testing, single-well response tests, and groundwater sampling; perform fieldwork and reporting associated with major projects, including 'nation-builder' infrastructure jobs across the province; travel and/or work nights and weekends occasionally, as required; and perform other duties as may be required.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in environmental science, engineering, biology, geoscience or a related field
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in environmental consulting, with proven proficiency in Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, hydrogeological assessments, and/or excess soils projects
  • Technical knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04, Ontario Regulation 406/19, and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) guidelines
  • Demonstrated competency in fieldwork execution, including sampling protocols, groundwater assessment techniques, and infiltration testing
  • Excellent technical report writing, note-taking, and documentation skills with attention to regulatory compliance
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments
