Requirements

  • Requires High school education, plus one or more years of additional trades training or continuing education in similar construction/engineering trades.
  • 0-2 years of related electrical experience, or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics and construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret prescribed instructions as described.
  • Basic mathematical and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and prescribed specifications.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities

  • Helps to fabricate, install and maintain various types of electrical systems and their parts and components, includes taking responsibility for installing plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, electronic and constructual systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as constructing, testing, installing, remediation systems.
  • Development of efficient methods for control panel construction.
  • Trains other employees on the design, start up of systems on site, and repairs all tools, tech calls over phone.
  • Assist in the bidding development of control panels.
  • Maintains logs and records of installation, maintenance and other work performed.
  • Development of electrical drawings, standards and control testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
