About The Position

Erwin Electric, an established electrical company with a strong reputation since 1997, is seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator in the Tampa Bay Area. As a W/MBE and DBE certified corporation experienced in various project types (medical, multifamily, commercial, industrial, residential, and government), we are looking for an individual to assist with tasks related to electrical systems, maintain industry standards, and contribute to project execution.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods.
• The ability to comprehend construction blueprints.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Perform and validate electrical take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate the input parameters for cost estimates.
• Assist in compiling information from all estimating disciplines into one cost estimate.
• Request and track pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Help prepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation.
• Establish site-specific estimating criteria including wage and person-hour productivity rates.
• Provide innovative solutions for construction, estimating issues and problems.
• Review design documents such as specifications, change orders, and contract modifications.
