About The Position

Burson is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Jr. Designer to join their dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a foundational understanding of design principles and a passion for creative problem-solving across diverse platforms. This role involves working closely with creative leadership and cross-functional teams to bring innovative concepts to life and contribute to impactful campaigns. The creative team at Burson has been recognized with numerous awards and is known for being curious, collaborative, and constantly pushing for work that earns attention. They focus on ideating, developing, and producing earned-first campaigns that cut through culture. Requirements

  • Entry-level to 2 years of experience in a design role, internship, or relevant academic projects demonstrating design capability.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing foundational design skills and creativity.
  • Proficiency in Motion/Video and Graphic Design.
  • Relevant software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, AfterEffects, etc.) and a solid understanding of design principles, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • You live and breathe social media and keep up with trends.
  • A natural curiosity and ability to approach design challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Eagerness to work in a team environment, give and receive constructive feedback, and contribute to a positive creative culture.
  • Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to articulate design choices and collaborate with teams.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, be detail-oriented, keep tidy files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • A desire to continuously learn, adapt to new tools/tech, and stay up to speed with industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality designs for a wide range of formats and platforms, including social, video, digital/web, and experiential activations.
  • Generate creative concepts both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Compile compelling mood boards for design direction and present them effectively to creative leadership.
  • Develop drafts of designs that follow established guidelines and creative direction.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative as a self-starter, actively seeking solutions to design challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional, fast-paced teams, adding to a positive working environment.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with peers across various disciplines and practices, including account management, planning, production, media, and other creative specialists.
  • Actively ask for and incorporate feedback, making necessary revisions to evolve your work and accommodate internal stakeholders and client input.
  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage team expectations.
  • Work closely with producers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
