About The Position

S2Technologies is seeking a Junior Database Developer to support Littoral Combat Ship Squadron TWO (LCSRON TWO). The role involves improving Squadron duties, including administrative control, training, maintenance, and readiness of assigned LCS ships and logistics support. The developer will provide database design and creation for metrics analysis, technical multi-user, web-based applications (Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, or similar), and database subject matter expertise. The developer will collaborate with analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, create, update, and maintain databases for tracking and reporting data metrics and interpretive analysis. This includes data for maintenance, sustainment, operational needs, Preventative Maintenance Availabilities (PMAV), Operational Availability (Ao), Material Availability (Am), Train to Qualify (T2Q) Replacement Sailors, and other standard practices. The role also involves assisting in developing streamlined processes to reduce unnecessary work and duplicative efforts, and supporting LCSRON TWO Chief of Staff and Department Heads in identifying and formulating process improvement recommendations. Additionally, the developer will provide qualitative and quantitative reports, graphs, and charts to evaluate data collection, analysis, objectives, and goals.

Requirements

• Three years of specific experience with developing databases, business analysis, Access, SharePoint, MS Office Suite, SQL, VBA, HTML, and other similar areas and applications
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with in the areas of database development or computer related fields
• Experience with Access, SharePoint and other similar business analyst software and applications
• US Citizen Required
• Active Secret Clearance Required

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of information to improve maintenance activities
• Create methods to pull applicable reports and queries from the databases and perform analysis and metrics on the data as agreed to by the associated work groups to meet business needs
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations in the design and development of tools, processes, metrics, and reports to meet the business needs
• Provide products that convey complex analysis in easy to understand methods like graphs, charts, and tables
• Use Access, SharePoint, SQL, VBA, HTML and other such tools of various database and web-design software to organize, analyze, and interpret data
