About The Position

Go! Retail Group is seeking a Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their Information Systems team. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Information Systems and collaborates with a team of professionals. The position involves maintaining and optimizing databases, writing stored procedures, building ETL pipelines, developing reports for business decision-making, and assisting with integrations between internal platforms and vendors. The ideal candidate is comfortable with SQL, curious about data flow in complex systems, and ready for responsibilities beyond a typical junior role. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are desired.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience working with SQL.
  • Experience writing stored procedures and advanced SQL queries.
  • Exposure to ETL tools, data pipeline, or data integration projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to validate and review your own work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and data issues to non-technical audience.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency, accountability and ownership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail or e-commerce experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize SQL databases to ensure performance, reliability and availability.
  • Write stored procedures and complex SQL queries to support reporting and operational needs.
  • Build, maintain, and improve ETL processes that connect systems and data sources.
  • Develop reports and data outputs for teams across multiple brands.
  • Support integrations between internal systems and third-party vendors.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and identify root causes to prevent recurring problems.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to support data-driven decision-making.
