About The Position
Lentech is actively interviewing for a JUNIOR Data Scientist. This role requires a strong foundation in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics, along with proficiency in R or Python. The ideal candidate will leverage scientific methods for both qualitative and quantitative analyses and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. A TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is mandatory for this position. The position requires a High School diploma or GED.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics
- Experience with R or Python
- Experience using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Experience with optimization, modeling and simulation, prediction, estimation, decision analysis, or engineering management
- Experience analyzing large-scale datasets
- Experience with data gathering, cleansing, and parsing
- Experience developing and applying optimization and simulation models
- Ability to work in Windows and Linux OS environments
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science
