About The Position

OCT Consulting is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support a federal client with data analysis and predictive model development on the Databricks platform. This role involves data cleaning, ETL development, data analysis, and building pipelines and visualizations within Databricks.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Minimum B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Familiarity with FAIR principles, data governance, and AI ethics.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks features such as Unity Catalog setup, privilege models, and workspace administration required.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Databricks certifications are preferred
