About The Position

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will support the implementation and maintenance of data systems and pipelines that enable analytics and AI/ML applications within a Navy IT command. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will assist in developing data pipelines, processing data, and ensuring data is available and reliable for mission use. This role provides an opportunity to build foundational data engineering skills while contributing to mission-critical defense operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering)
• Exposure to data engineering concepts, data processing, or scripting
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or database systems
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or similar technologies
• Exposure to Jupiter or similar tools for data analysis
• Understanding of data quality and validation practices
