About The Position

Lynch Consultants is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) financial reporting and data analytics efforts focused on data analysis, reporting, and process improvement activities tied to federal financial management and operational performance. The selected candidate will help develop analytic products, support reporting requirements, improve data quality, and contribute to automation initiatives that enhance decision-making and business processes. This role requires an individual who can work onsite with government stakeholders, understand client operations and process flows, and translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in data analysis and coding, along with the ability to support dashboards, reports, data cleansing, and other analytic deliverables in a mission-focused environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, reporting, databases, or related analytical support.
  • Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to maintain eligibility.
  • Fundamental background in Python.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Python, SQL, R, Scala, or Visual Basic.
  • Experience creating or maintaining databases.
  • Experience developing data visualizations and analytic reports.
  • Experience with data cleansing scripts, processes, and technical data analytics.
  • Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, and business solution implementation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with Air Force or Department of Defense datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks.
  • Experience coding in PySpark.
  • Experience supporting federal financial reporting, audit, or process improvement efforts.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced onsite government support environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, automate, and implement effective data analytics work products tailored to varied systems and programs.
  • Develop an understanding of client operations, business processes, and mission needs and align analytic outputs accordingly.
  • Prepare and present clear, actionable reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
