About The Position

Republic Masonry and Fencing has developed a reputation as a trusted and reliable resource for commercial and industrial masonry construction and is one of Houston’s fastest growing fencing companies. Our skilled masons and framers have the experience and knowledge to handle any masonry or fencing project. We specialize in single-wythe brick walls, wood fences, precast concrete walls, entry monuments, and various style fences and gates. This new team member will work from our Houston, Texas office located at: 931 Pheasant Valley Dr, Missouri City, TX 77489.

Requirements

6 months or more of estimating experience in commercial construction.
Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology.
Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is needed.
Should have exposure to estimating software and digital takeoff tools.
Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and have strong attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills along with organizational skills are needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience in project management or other construction roles is helpful but not required.
Familiarity with hardscape and concrete is very helpful.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements.
Perform manual and digit take-offs for assigned trades using estimating software (Procore, Bluebeam, and Excel).
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes; level and compare bids for scope coverage and accuracy.
Help prepare bid packages, proposals, and cost reports.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews; coordinate with project management during takeoff.
