Our Anderson studio is seeking an instructor for its Musicologie Junior program! If you love singing, moving, and exploring music with little ones, this could be a great fit. Our Musicologie Junior program is a play-based early childhood music class for ages 0-5, and we’re looking for someone warm, expressive, and confident leading both young children and their grown-ups. Musicologie Junior teachers should bring big energy, a welcoming presence, and strong communication skills to every class. The ideal candidate would bring experience with early childhood education and group music experiences. Vocalists, performers, and early childhood educators often do especially well in this role. We’re looking for someone who believes young children learn best through play, movement, and exploration, and who can create a joyful, engaging class experience for families. We would also welcome an instructor who would be able to teach private lessons at other times for primary or also secondary instruments. Your Role: As a Musicologie teacher you’ll work with students of all ages and abilities as they identify their goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals. You’ll be a friendly guide on their musical journey and you’ll encourage community involvement through performance opportunities. Be committed to delivering an outstanding lesson experience to every family and student. Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to elevate everyone’s capabilities. You’re the right person if you’re: An excellent musician. Excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians. An expert communicator in person and by email. Extremely organized. Self motivated. Curious and inspired to learn new things. Are able to work evening hours. You have: A bachelor’s degree in your instrument, music education, or equivalent experience. Teaching experience on your instrument and/or with general music ed classes.
