About The Position

We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology. Your role Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management. Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry elements as per the relevant CSA Standards and applicable codes and regulatory requirements. Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs like SAP2000, ANSYS, LSDYNA. Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.Prepare technical specification documents. Support Sr. Engineers in the preparing design documents, engineering activities and compiling engineering packages. Assist the Team Lead for work plans and deliverables and ensure adequacy of scopes, budgets and schedules. Ensure the quality and consistency, accuracy, and neatness of engineering deliverables. Compliance with applicable QA procedures and being responsible for producing quality work. Delivery of all technical engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets. Perform walk-downs and inspections. About you Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is desired. Eligible to be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada (PEO). Minimum 3-5 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings. Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable. Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset. Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering. Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget. Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Requirements
