About The Position
The Junior Chefs Instructor co-teaches a basic culinary arts class that helps children ages 6-10 and 11-14 learn about nutrition, kitchen safety, and cooking. This job is located at our off-site childcare location at 1701 East Century Avenue in Bismarck.
Requirements
- Must be age 16 or older.
- Must have the ability to handle competing demands.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with participants and parents.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a childcare or children's program preferred.
- Previous food service and/or food prep experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Be a role model
- Guide participants through pre-planned activities
- Communicate appropriately with participants and parents
- Assure that children safely participate in food prep, cooking, baking and educational activities
- Assist with set up and clean up before and after the program session
