About The Position

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Safety & Site Support Division seeks a Junior CADD Technician. Under the direct supervision of the Chief of CADD, the Junior CADD Technician will be responsible for producing various Land Survey Map deliverables for DDC capital construction projects including Topographical/Property Line, Highway/Sewer Plan and Profile maps using AutoCAD and Carlson or Civil 3D applications. The Junior CADD Technician will also maintain CADD standards and templates across all deliverables, assist with basic survey calculations, review all completed maps for accuracy, completeness, and coordinate with field unit when clarification is needed.

Requirements

• Must be permanent in the Project Manager Intern title or reachable on the Open-Competitive list #5114.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.).
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration.
• OR A master’s degree in architecture that is the first professional degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Credentials from foreign institutions require independent equivalency verification from an approved evaluation service.
