(FSC), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is recruiting for a Junior Buyer to assist in coordinating purchases at their facility in Highland Heights, Ohio. This position reports directly to the Lead Buyer and collaborates with all departments of the business unit to coordinate purchasing activity.

Requirements

  • A two- or four-year Degree in a technical field, Communications, Marketing or Business Management from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years in aerospace/aviation or other technical industry, Product Development and/or Market Research is preferred.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc...) is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in both a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Team Members of all levels.
  • Highly responsive to internal and external customer requirements.
  • Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and have the drive and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.

Responsibilities

  • Create, issue, and update purchase orders
  • Work within the supply chain group to track purchases and manage timely receipt of deliverables
  • Assist the Lead Buyer in managing inventory, setting stock levels and forecasting purchases to ensure availability of parts to fill customer orders
  • Maintain and update data on supplier lead times and costs
  • Assist with identifying and working with new and existing suppliers as necessary
  • Work with other members of the supply chain group in managing supplier relationships
  • Ensure availability of office supplies and other daily use items required throughout the facility
  • Additional duties and responsibilities that may be required by management.
