About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Materials, the Jr Buyer plays a key role supporting the business by managing daily purchasing operations and maintaining optimal inventory levels. These activities ensure consistent material availability and enable on-time shipments to end customers.

Requirements

• Proven ability to analyze and present data using Excel (AI & Power BI are a plus)
• Ability to prioritize and complete projects with accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to discover creative solutions for complex problems using methodical and analytical approaches.
• Eagerness to identify opportunities and capitalize on them.
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or other applicable area, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place, confirm, track, and manage purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods.
• Oversee the purchase order life cycle in our different ERP systems maintaining accurate supplier confirmed shipping dates and up to date delivery dates. This information provides the needed visibility for manufacturing, sales and customer service to optimize the customer experience.
• Utilize supplier delivery data to lead collaborative problem solving with suppliers when below 95% OTD.
• Expedite materials to eliminate & prevent shortages.
• Purchase indirect/MRO supplies for 2 plants.
• Work with Finance to resolve supplier invoice issues.
