About The Position

This role is for a Junior Business & Data Analyst supporting a modernization effort for a Florida Government Agency. The position is on-site in Tallahassee, FL, and requires the candidate to already reside in the area. The contract term is from June 2026 to July 2027 with the possibility of renewal. The primary focus will be on business analysis, data analysis and visualization, application support, and project systems support, with an emphasis on continuous learning and adaptation to enterprise platforms.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (or Technical Institute Certificate) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of IT experience in computer systems, support, or data/business analysis.
• Proven ability to extract, clean, transform, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and ensure data quality.
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms (Power BI or similar), Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and the ability to write simple SQL queries.
• Must already live in the Tallahassee, FL area.
• Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Informatica, SQL Server, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, model workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and system enhancements.
• Query, cleanse, and integrate multi-source datasets to design, deploy, and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI) that drive strategic decision-making.
• Assist in developing and maintaining web-based components, forms, and interfaces, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and automated content publishing.
• Assist with QA testing, risk documentation, and basic software troubleshooting; maintain accurate project logs and technical documentation.
• Quickly adapt to and utilize enterprise platforms (such as Informatica, SQL Server, and Snowflake) to support evolving operational needs.
