This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about fieldwork, keen to learn from experienced professionals, and motivated to contribute to meaningful environmental projects. The position involves a combination of field and office work, with occasional travel. You will work alongside senior biologists and environmental scientists on a diverse range of projects spanning industrial sectors including forestry, renewable energy, municipal, land development, transportation, and mining.

  • WHMIS 2015 and basic field safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with field studies related to terrestrial ecosystems and wildlife, including species-at-risk surveys, habitat assessments, and monitoring, under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Collect, record, and organize field data accurately, including completing field logs, daily reports, and chain of custody documentation.
