About The Position

Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Junior Associate or Senior Analyst for its Banks team within the Financial Institutions Group to be based in either New York, NY or Chicago, IL. Evercore's unique market position provides its junior bankers with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on differentiated and industry-transforming transactions in markets around the world. The small deal team structure provides junior bankers with an incomparable platform to learn investment banking while assuming very high levels of responsibility early in one’s career. As part of the team, the Junior Associate / Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to work primarily on a range of M&A transactions and other strategic advisory assignments for Bank clients.

Requirements

  • Strong and demonstrated interest in investment banking
  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients
  • Knowledge of accounting, valuation, corporate finance, and business strategy is a pre-requisite
  • Be at least a rising third year Analyst or Junior Associate at another investment bank
  • Preferably three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
  • Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas
  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral
  • Great work ethic
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character
